A threat actor on a dark web forum claimed to have breached BitMart on October 31, 2026, leaking a database containing approximately 1.2 million user records.
• The Leak Claim: A user named 'Galmolox' on DarkForums alleged that they obtained a BitMart database including KYC documents, emails, and user balances after failed communications with the company.
• Platform Status: BitMart announced plans to wind down and cease operations following a series of pressures and prior security challenges, with spot and derivatives trading ending in mid-2026 and a full shutdown scheduled for January 31, 2027.
• Risk to Users: If verified, the leak puts past users at high risk for phishing attacks, SIM-swapping, and account takeover attempts.
